i had a thread about this before but couldnt find it. the 250r shocks put on a 400ex will drop it 2 inches, wont this affect travel.

lets see 18 year old shorter shocks in front and longer older shock with different size bushings.....

Aftermarket would work though.

250r shocks will work fine but do lower it a bit .so just put rear 250r shock also they have same travel stock

I have Elka Triple Rate w/ Rezzie's off of an 88R and it didn't lower mine at all.

I didn't measure them w/ anything however I promise my EX doesn't sit any where near 2in lower in the front. If it is lower I can not tell it.

im not a shock expert so correct me if im wrong but u think that aftermarket shocks are taller than 250r stock shocks so they have more travel maybe thats y it didnt lower any. then there was that one guy that said he had those elkas that loward his

I own a 250r and a 400ex and I can't tell any difference in the shock lenth.

The 250x/300ex shock is about 2 inches shorter than the 400ex and it will bolt on.
