250x 300ex top end or motor?

have 1987 250x that needs motor work right now i know i will need a usable cylinder and piston. or maybe a good deal on a new piston top end kit to bore my cylinder. also wondering if a 300ex top end will work? may need more parts? anyone got a cheap whole motor?

i have a engine for ya it had maybe 50 hours on it since new at the facotry
i have owned it since it was new

it is built but built for reliability i have all stock parts and can include them or put them in for you to detune it I ALSO WILL TUNE IT HOWVER YOU MIGHT WANT IT

its a stock bore engine and is very reliable AND CAN BE TUNES ANYWAY YOU LIKE IT

I am not looking to spend a small fortune. just lookin into fixing my 250x to sell it. I may just list it on ebay to try and get my money back out of it. my motor smokes but runs fairly ok also. have not takin it apart to take a close look. just thought ide see if someone had a good deal on a top end they had lying around. 400ex motor would be to much work to refit in the frame. thanks for all of your replies.
