Whats the biggest bore you can get for a blaster?...What can it be stroked to? Also do they make water cooled head for a blaster because i've heard that there isnt?

your best bet is to not go over 240, they really arent that reliable any bigger. reall, yyour better off with a stock bore and a stroker crank (biggest is a plus 6 right now, but a plus 4 is as bigg as i would go.) strokers are just as fast as big bores, and dont put out nearly the heat

So stick with the stock bore..but i want to go faster..but but a crank in? but do they make water cooled heads?

265cc but i wouldnt be to reliable on that to even maken it through 6 races i would probably not even bore it get it stroked port and polished but not bore because i think boring it 2 240 is still not gunna last even 2 seasons unless u know what ur doing(little things)...so yeah get it ported polished stroked and ull keep up 2 the 240 kits.:D

Well if i stroke it and port and polish it...would that be good enough?..or should i also put a 20 bored or 10 bored..whats the biggest one?...also do they make water cooled heads?

my blaster had 35 hp with a hot rod 4mm stroker crank and porting by snyder motor sports. for mx, thats the way to go. it didnt last long at xc, but would be awesome for mx/tt.

i have seen some water cooled heads on ebay, but really wasnt convinced they ran any better than the air cooled one

also, stick with the stock bore, that way you have plenty of over bore for rebuilds. you can go .80 over on a blaster, usually .10 thousanths at a time, every other rebuild so the stock cylinder should last a while

Thanks bradley300..but how long does the stock cylinder last?

depends on how much power it has. at 175 lbs of compression, it should last about 10 or 12 hours. but i would do a compression check after each race weekend, if it drops below 160, i would change the rings. if the piston and cylinder walls look good, you shouldnt have to replace the piston or bore the cylinder. might sound like alot of work, but a rac motor takes a good deal of maintenance
