bayou 185, any good need some info

now that i got rid of the 440 i was lookin for sumthin cheap just to mess around with just get me through the woods with out dieing. i found a 85 bayou 185, it runs good and is about $600. i havent had a chance to look at it. i searched the internet for about an hour and i could find any info on it. anyone have or had one? do they have suspention, electric start and thing like that? i basically plan to just put some good tires on it and ride it around it wont be anything special just sumthin to get me around. thanks for any help

can't say much on the bayou 185, but i have a 2000 bayou 220 and they take a LOT of beatin... really dependable quads... if you want a cheaper quad that will take almost anything you throw at it u gotta bayou

Yes Bayous can take MAJOR abuse.....it will make a fine Quad just for ridin around probably no matter what year it is

They're super durable quads but that thing's gonna ride like a rock....no suspension, just some big ole balloon tires to keep ya bouncin' lol :D

i had one exactly like that and it ran great. we rebuilt it, then it ran even better. that thing would take crap like no other. i wish i still had it.
