Rad axle lock nut

Hey everyone, I just got my rad lock nut and started putting it on. When its tight there seems only to be half the threads on the locknut on the threaded collar that sits on the axle. Is this right or am I doing something wrong. If anyone could give me some pictures of yours installed that would be great. Thanks!!!

Im looking for a deal on an axle nut that will stay tight. My 04 450r just keeps making the stock one come loose. I checked all bearings are fine and I dont have anything bent to cause extra vibration either.

The rad lock nut will stay tight they are $43 as for the stock one some people use locktight and a VERY large wrench and tape.

Haven't used the red stuff though. I jump alot so that is why its coming loose so quickly im guessing. My freinds with 04 and 05's dont have this issue.

On the otherhand there's doesn't have a cam or pipe so they vibrate much less.

Guess i'll order the rad nut next month.
