Just a general question what should we do or E-Mail if we think someone is trying to pass a stolen 4 wheeler. My son had been trying to trade his for another one but for the last 3 weeks or so the other guy cant come up with a good S/N number or engine number.
A suggestion for the whole site is to some how put up some kind of warning for anyone wanting to do a deal buy or trade to get serial numbers and engine numbers and take them to a dealer that sells that bike to make sure it is good. I know there are a lot of young riders here that don't think of checking about things like that.
Thanks

go look at it in person and ask to see the title or proof of purchase

what is the quad by the way? and where is the guy located, I know we are missing a couple, and I'm guessing the quad is in IL, might just have to "look at it" :D he either needs to come up with a S/N or title or it needs reported to the cops

Mine does not have title or serial number, doenst mean it has to be stolen, but good possibility.

extremely good possibility, the don't manufacture without a S/N and engine number

Seems the biggest reason the stolen ATV market is so lucritive to the thieves is that noone seems to care unless it happens to them, and some of those same people might still buy without proper ownership records, we need to start policing ourselves if we want the left rate to drop..... and now off my soapbox

You arc correct we do need to police our selfs it would of been a good deal but I don'y want the hassel especaly going to Wisconsin. The guy goes by casey88 and has a 2001 Raptor for $2750.00 or else he is just B/S ing. A lot of people out there don't have insurance I have 2 2004 Suzuki's a Eiger and a Z-250 it cost me $250 per year for full coverage that isn't a lot of money for $8000 worth of equipment.

A 2001 Raptor will have a serial # as well as an engine #.
