need help

my quads got a problem. I Have a hard time getting it too start I'll kick and kick on it forever and when it finally fires it won't even idle correctly. To keep it running I have to hold it wide open at all times. I've pulled that carb apart and checked all electrical connections. Any ideas?

You are probalbly running a low compression. You need to have the motor rebuilt. Mine did the same thing, I sucked dirt into the engine and it wore out the cylinder bore. Is it burning oil?

it won't run long enough to burn oil. I just put a new piston in it about a month ago.

Did you happen to work on the top end? Could your timing possibly be off?

Check your valve lash. When those intakes get tight they won't start.
