Jet Kit

I have a 300 ex with a K&N air filter and FMF full exhaust. Which Jet kit would be the best for me? I am looking at K&N and FMF in rockymountainatv.com.

K&N, DynoJet, and FMF jet kits will pretty much all be the same.

If you have any experience with the inside of the carb at all. Just grab a 130 main jet, move the clip on the needle down 1 notch (needle up), and set the air screw 3-1/4 turns out.

That's all the kit is going to tell you to do, and it will cost you $4 instead of $40. ;)

Do a couple plug checks afterward. If your running excessivly black (the accelerator pump is going to make it look like it's richer than it is), then you could go down to a 128, if you're running grey or bogging a little at full throttle, kick it up to a 132.

So i really don't need a jet kit just adjust the carb I have now?

Correct.
They are just giving you some jets and instructions on how to install them.
