I am looking into buying a sport quad and I am wondering what a good one is.. I currently ride a Polaris Sportsman 500 and a Kawasaki Bayou 220.. Don't laugh i was a third grader when I got the 220 and I have made people fall to the ground laughing after they see how much air I got with that thing... Anyway I'm looking at a TRX450R... Is that a good choice?

it's true!!!! i've seen this kid ride he's a damn dare devil on that friggen bayou but he treats the polaris 500 like its his son:rolleyes:

LOL - i'm 16 by the way... rode a friends kfx400-not too impressed with it and suzuki 450 WAY out of my price range.. not to crazy about the looks either... call me picky...

quads are like tits... everything about them has to be just right....

my little neighbor kid had a bayou, he beat the **** out of that thing and it took alot of it before he grenaded the trans, he even had a folgers can for an exhaust.

LOL my bayou is not THAT bad but its true those things take a beatin. I always do crazy stuff on it. Its my "stuntquad". I just practice wheelies and jumps... but it doesn't like too high of jumps.. i'm suprized i haven't broken anything. Just recently rode up on two right wheels around a friends trailer almost twice.. but i guess anybody can do that if they just try.. I just like to do stuff like that on it...

450R anybody?

Get the 450R..I HATE suzuki with a passion!!!
<a href="http://img422.imageshack.us/my.php?image=trx450r8ko.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img422.imageshack.us/img422/7835/trx450r8ko.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

How do you make the 2005 Pro Quad Champion, ATVA GNC MX Champion, and Baja Champion even better? How about a new engine with even more power? How about new suspension settings and steering geometry? How about two versions; kick start or electric start? That's the new 2006 TRX450R. The best sport ATV we've ever made — quite a bold statement, considering Honda has dominated the class.

or you could save yourself a grand($1,000)n get the TRX400EX with reverse!
<a href="http://img422.imageshack.us/my.php?image=trx400ex1rm.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img422.imageshack.us/img422/1403/trx400ex1rm.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

Want the best all-around sport ATV that provides abundant performance for dune-blasting or trail-taming? With electric start, new-for-'06 reverse, and dependable, 4-stroke air-cooled performance; it may be all the ATV you'll ever need. Just be ready to humble your friends and show them the trail from your Honda taillight.

o yea n the TRX400EX is $5,899
the TRX450R is $6,649

Ride Red! :blah:

Really think i'm gonna go with the 450R... I got a local guy who has a dealers license... currently dealing polaris... but i am goin to see if he can get me a trx450 for $100 over cost (what he is doing right now) so that takes the price down to around $5500 or less.

I really like the YFZ450s, but i heard that they are crappy trail bikes (my riding is mostly open country dirt road riding, with an occassional trip to the dunes and maybe slower trail riding in the mountains once a year) so any thoughts on 450r verses YFZ??

I know im just havin fun...Im not aginst anything, i just like Yamaha:D

i don't think any of the 450's would be a very good trail riding bike but thats jus cause i think every trail riding bike should have reverse. and i don't think neither of them have reverse. but if i had to pic which 450 i'd get it'd be a honda in a heart beat.

Just remember that the rear end on the 04/05 really sux. You will either get bucked if you are at all an aggressive rider or have to spend $ to revalve the rear shock and possibly add a linkage and longer swingarm. In stock form it really likes to wheelie.

I challenge every person on this site to a bayou ride off! i am the bayou king.. end of story

if you're gonna do just trails, get the 400EX w/ reverse but if you like to go to the dunes a lot or race it, get a 450r
