racing hair scrambel/mx

ok i want to get started racing now i want to race both mx and hair scrambel now what would i need to start racing
i already have
a
01 300ex
with

dg nerf bars
holeshots
fmf full exhaust
renthal bars
k&n air filter
jet kit
spacers for the back
i also dont have a lot of $$$ to put i to this atv cuz i have a rancher 4x4 and its on of the badist around so alot of my $$ goes in to the rancher
i also want it to handel good in woods and on the track

the first thing you need to do is get rid of those spacers. those things are junk. there is no subsitute for a-arms and axle to get the quad wider. now looking at you list of things the only thing you might need is a kill switch (tether cord type) some tracks require this others dont. you might also need to get a atva license depending on the series you race in. keep this i mind dont dump alot of money into the quad until you race a few races, just because you might not even like it. the good thing about xc racing is you can be competive on a bone stock quad. hope i was some help.
