try cleanin the carb or put in a bigger jet

the hondas run real lean

maybe 2 lean

i heard somewhere that honda tests the 400EX by running it WOT for 3 days straight!!! but i guess thats not to realistic cause there is start and stop and that causes the valves to streach. also honda sends the valves too tight causing them to streach by the first oil change. as far as running it WOT for 20-30 sec, i would change oil, air cleaner every 10-20 hours, and maybe ritchen up the MAIN JET up 1-2 sizes bigger. eather way you look at it, its still a HONDA:cool:

everything like oil and every thing is good but it hits the rev limiter i was jw if it is bad for the engine to be hitting the rev limiter for that long and that often

well thats what rev limiters there for..

but dont ride it for long time lol

just normal maintence like oil changes, and air filter cleanings keep them running best.

i wouldnt suggest doing it to much, but its not really that good for an engine to be held at the rev limiter for long periods of time.
