Some people put the key in and on all the time. They just tape it up under the hood. I dont like the idea of someone bieng able to jump on the quad and take off. I connected mine to the frame with a hose clamp under the hood. I can reach it through the left side and stick the key in. Its tight but you cant see it. Now I take the key out when done and it would be hard to find for someone that doesnt know an R to find the ignition.

I mounted the oil light on the fender just to the left of the hood.

Not on an R but you get the idea....prolly wouldnt be a good setup though if you had an aftermarket hood.

I mounted mine to the front brake line bracket that bolts to the steering stem. Go to Lowes or Home depot and buy a bracket that is big enough to go around the key switch. They have them in the bolt section. And just bolt it to where the front brake line was hooked to on the steering stem.Zip tie your brake line to the frame. It looks real clean and you really can't see it.

who needs a key if you race. theres no nees for it. you dont want any body to take it??? all you have to do is rip off the hood, follow the key wire and unplug it. kick it a couple times and its started. if you do it that way make sure you cross the fan and temp. light. if you dont it will still run but they wont work. if you dont, hide it somewhere cool
