i really need some help with this. my computer is really acting strange. it will open yahoo main page fine, but when i click on yahoo mail or search or anything it usually doesnt open it takes forever to load. same with ebay, google, espn and a few other bigger sites ive tried. it takes forever for me to sign on aim if i sign off. says i have no connection yet i know i do. this site opens fine with no problems. so im truely clueless. i ran norton virus scan about 100 times, spyware doctor, and yahoo anti spi the same amout of times and they continue to find nothing.
the other day in somebodys info it had new beach pics here....and it was a comcast site so i clicked and hit run...but wouldnt let me see them it said i had to install or something so iknew it was messed up so i didnt i canceled out of it. but now whenever i restart that page shows up. any help is apreciated.

Get a program called "spybot search and destroy" and run it. Should help you. Norton is worthless for spyware

check out download.com, which is the same as cnet.com and look into the spyware removal section. tons of good software there. also tucows.com

agreed. sounds like spyware. are you on Dsl or modem?
here is an online virus and spyware scanner.. one of the best out there. trendmicro (http://housecall.trendmicro.com)

i also suggest microsoft's anti spyware one of the best spyware removal software that is allways running and protecting like an anti virus

lol... you got one of those annoying spywire/adbot thingys.. ive had em. they are a WHORE to get rid of...

easiest way to do it is to format your box, and start from scratch.. unless your good with registry editing and what not.

oh yea.. and stop going to porn sites ;)

the. com.com thing is from spyware. it has attacked your host files. the easyest way to get rid of it is to download hijack this and pm me a log file... we will get this stuff cleaned up for you

hijack this works VERY well you just need to understand how to use it.....

the hardest little ****er i had to get rid of for someone was dosftp.dll attached to the root of the FTP files, and it being a dll none the less....yet another PITA....hijack this worked tho. spybot is "ok" and ADAWARE is ok to.
