rear brake?

hey my rear brake has no tension when i press down on it and i was wondering what could bethe problem. There is a spring in the rear where the caliper and pad are and when i press down on the brake it doesnt move so that could be the problem. Give me some pointers on what it could be thanks......it has plenty of brake fluid so that not the problem

are the brakes pads woren down and need to be replaced?

try bleeding the brakes

I'm sure the spring you're seeing near the caliper is for the parking brake, the brake lever has no effect on it.

Like ZeroLogic said check the pads first.

Have you done anything to the brakes recently? It sounds like air in the system. I would have to say to try bleeding 'em.
