Greetings.

Anyone care to share how to relocate the key switch for a 300ex (throwing it in the trash isnt an option).

Whats a good place to put it?

ill post pics when i get to the computer at my house, but i can tell you the process, its really easy just get some hole saw drill bits and match up the one whos outside diameter is the same as the key, most people like to put it on the plastics under the handers on the right side of the quad ( i dunno why the right side im sure it would work on the left, but evry 300ex ive seen with this had the key on the right), after you drill the hole youo need to use a file to make a notch for the thing that holds the key in place and your good to go, if it sounds confusing now wait untill i post the pic, it will make alot more sense

sure it will work on any quad, btw it also helps to sand the edges around the hole down, then use a heat gun to melt the plastic a little, then it will look like it was done that way from the factory

I removed mine and rewired it into the kill switch on the start/light switch cluster. Left or right is on.. middle off. I use a prodesign kill switch, so that was an extra switch anyway.

dont moun it were he said, it looks ugly because he didnt mount it far enough up under the plastics, as long as it doesnt sticks out, it looks awesome. When ever you mount it make sure you cant see it, or just mount it on the side of the plastics.
