i have a 2004 400ex and i just put in a k&n filter and i put on a power core 4 slip on.... my dealer that i bought my bike from gave me jets for the k&n they were... 155 main also a 150 main and 40 pilot... I live in ohio but im not sure on my height aboe sea level... my problem is that when i reach my 4th and 5th gear my engine does not seem to want to shift.. it never did this before the mods.. when i took the spark plug out today it was to rich(black) and i was using the 155 and 40 pilot... soo my brother and I screwed the fuel screw out and it helped a lil bit but not much.. i was hoping u guys had any ideas? also i did not move the needle cause i want sure how?? would that help??
