average price on 2004 and under 400ex

im lookin to trade in my 250ex for a 400ex(used). i'd love a 450r but its just too much money for me, considering i have to go with the financing. i can get 2400 out of my 2004 250ex, and i owe a little under 3000 on it still. i figured the average price on the used 400's are around 3500-4000. so i pulled up honda's finance calculator and put those amounts in and got between 80-90 bucks a month.

so my question is what do they have the 1999-2004 400ex's listed for around your area? i want to get a rough idea of how much its gonna cost me

im from southern illinois and they have 1999-2001 anywhere from 2000-2800 depending on how many aftermarket things you want on it. I bought mine a year ago, its a 2000, with pipe, nerfs, bumper and a 416 kit for right at $2500

I believe I stole mine..02 for $2000.All stock with race cuts and graphix.Need standard stuff..i.e. chain/sprockets/pads..

I just picked up a '01 for $2300. Needs brakes and front shocks. Otherwise it's in perfect, almost showroom condition. Well maintained. Should be able to get one that needs almost nothing for $2500-$3000. There are like 12 listed right now in the Albany NY want-ad digest.

yeah, they had a 2002 race ready ex for 2800 up here. but this was like 4 months ago

I LOOKED FOR MONTHS IN COLORADO AT EVERY DEALERSHIP AND THEY ALL WANTED $3000 OR HIGER FOR 2000 AND NEWER AND THEY ALL WERE WAY TO BE BEAT UP TO PAY THAT MUCH

i live in louisville ky. and i just bought mine 2 months ago for $1500 it was all stock when i bought it except for a new set of renthals and a dg fat front bumper and razr tires. great deal i thought thats why i bought it right then and there

Paid 2900$ for a BRAND NEW 2001 400ex over a year ago, guy bought it and parked it.... i made out like a bandit :)

i emailed all of the three dealers around here and asked them if they could give me a call or email me if they get a used 400ex in. so hopefully one will come in here pretty soon and i can go get it. then throw some stuff on it and hit up the track.

we have them at holzhauers pro motor sports in nashville illinois, Brand new 04 ex for 3995, but if your wanting one thats used i wouldnt get it from a dealer they tend to rip ya off on used ones id talk around with friends or look in the paper or trader

I just bough my '04 brand new this past summer from a stealership. The sticker price was $4600 (got it down a little and got some store credit), that plus Tax & license, the extended 4 year warranty, I pay roughly $150/month

I just bought a brand new 04 400ex for 4699 included a gear allowance, tax, title, registration, crating, and extended 2yr on it. Bought in SD


if making payments i figured just under 100 a month w/ good credit

well if i get a used one then it has to be from a dealership because 1. im still paying for my 250ex and 2. i have to do financing. the reason that im getting a used one is because its cheaper.

if i had the cash then i would definately get it from somebody other than a dealer.

FOUND IT!!! i walked into one of the dealerships today and asked if they had any used 400ex's.. and he said he had a 2003. so we walked to the back room and oh my god. yellow race cut plastic with black number backgrounds, red maier hood, durablue +2+4 axle, razr mx's all around, tag grabbar, im guessing flipped front rims, its race ready except for nerfs. they're asking $3600.. were taking my 250 up there sometime this week, if everything falls in place, to see how much they'll give me for it. if i can get at least $2000 out of it then im sure that the 400ex is mine. im so excited lol. i had a picture of it, but idk what happened to it. updates will come...
