there alsome all around but wear out real fast in hard dirt. if you ride hard dirt get the razr mxbut for soft get mxr4s.

I you ride everyday then they will probably wear fast. But for racing everyweekend or every other weekend they'll last you a season more than likely. The old MXR's would wear out twice as fast as the new MXR4's.

i highly recomend the mxr4, best tires i have ever ridden!!!!!!!! I ride a lot of sand tracks, and these tires hook up every where, don't slide out in the corners..
they do wear a bit faster then maxxis tires, or the turf tamers on hard pack.

I love mine, and I've not had a problem with them wearing too quickly. And I'm definitely not easy on tires. I ride pretty much every day, sometimes even on pavement. Still plenty of tread after a year of abuse.

well i think the mxr and mxr4 r the best mx tire.
but i had the mxr tires on back and they lasted me like a whole month and then were bald.
i hade mxr4 to and they dont last much longer than mxr.
mxr give better grip than mxr4

I have a difference of opinion on that one. I've run the XCR, MX, MXR, and MXR4. And to be honest, the MXR4's are the best one's I've used thus far. To me, they seem to get much better traction in just about every condition I've ridden in. I really was not that happy with my MXR's or MX's. They both wore out in a matter of a couple months. I've had my MXR4's since December, and they still have a good amount of tread. And I generally ride 1-2 hours every day, if not more. And I'm definitely not easy on them.

My front MX's though, I chew through a set of those pretty quick.
