250r to 400ex bumper swap

was wondering if a 250r bumper will fit a 400ex frame, or will i need to mod it to work. thanks

The bumper may be a little too skinny or wide, but it's easy to bend it so that it will fit.

So you're planning on taking a 250r bumper, and putting on the 400EX?

The 400EX is slightly wider on the top mount, but the top mounts on the bumper are long and easy to bend.

The bottom mounts, however, are even MORE mis-matched, but the bottom mounts on the bumper are short. They don't bend as easily.

I'm doing this exact thing right now, and it's not going well. I broke one of the bottom mounts off the bumper trying to widen it out, and now I need to get it welded, so I need to find a specialty welding shop to weld aluminum.

If you're willing to put a little force into it, and possibly shell out a few bucks for welding if you break something, it's certainly possible.

im doing the same thing on my 300ex..putting teh 250r bumper on..

all im going to do is build a plate to connect the bottom holes together.

thats all that ull need to do probably.
