Stock tires are decent tires. But I would recommend ITP Holeshots to anybody! Thats what I have on my 400ex and I love it! My uncle has holeshots on his blaster and his is a 99' model and he rides on the roads and he will lean forward and hold the front brakes and pop the clutch and just sit there and spin, and guess what? His holeshots look about as good as mine and I just got mine back in April. Thats what alot of the pros run, no wonder....

Order ITP Holeshots out of Chaperallel (sp?). Their only $56 per tire in there, anywhere else they are like $70+. If you want, I can scan the page the tires are on and give you the # to order them....

Yup stcok tires are great. They seem to wear pretty decently aswell. My only complaint is they have to much 'side bite' but other than that they rock in just about every terrian.

that would be great jeff, i had hoelshots on all my other quads and i absolutely loved them,, but they are so expensive that i cant really afford them now.

Mine wore out in about 3 rides, I didn't do any burn outs either. I don't drive on the road too much, occaitionally i do though but i don't think they should have worn like they did.

i had a set of the standard holeshots on my 400 last summer, i didnt care for them at all. it seemed like they didnt hook up worth a ***** except in grass, try the kenda klaws or knarlys.

Youve got to be kidding me!? Holeshots hook up better than the klaws or knarlys in my opinion but they wear faster as well. I love the klaws as well too, they hook up excellent and dont wear fast at all.

yea i dont understand it either, i think it could be because i only weigh around 120 though, i never can get anything to hook up, not even my studded tires lol. so probally the holshots are just as good as anything else out there.

Go for the Kenda Klaws. They are cheaper and still a very good tire. They will get you by just fine.

Try Ohtsu Pro-Comp tires. Do a search or look in the 250r forum, I posted pics of these tires there. I've used them for 8 years running GNCC and have been extremely happy with them.

this is true but it doesn't take much to put a hole in them. if you ride in any rocks they won't last long.;)

i cant believe so many of you like the stockers that much. i thought they sucked. i have 20" razrs on back and 21" in front and they are amazing compared to stock. i can hook up just about anywhere. if you wanna know the best tires then just take a look at the GNCC pros, cuz ya know there not gonna run nething but the best:)

The pros are going to run whatever their sponsers want them to. Its called marketing and advertising. They know that people like you and I will see them running that tire and we will be more likely to buy it. Thats how the pros pay the bills so they run whatever their sponsers give them to run.

The stockers are good compaired with other stock tires. They can't hang worth a crap with the holeshot HD rears, though.

I run Kenda Klaw XCR's on the rear and Maxxis Front Pro's on the front. To be honest with you, I really like the setup and haven't had much wear on them at all. The Klaw's grab great, ride good, etc... Same goes with the Maxxis.
