For a swing arm skid I have a armodillo and it is tough. I have beat the heck out. You can get them at rockey mountain atv. I dont know if they make frame skids or not but I would deffinitly check them out.

I love my UM skid for the engine, i do MX and its a must for that because of bottoming and rocks and all, quality is 100% the only thing was that the washers they gave were too big diameter and 1 short for what makes sense on putitng it together but thats nothing to complain about really

i run prm skids on frame, swing arm, front summit bumper, and rear bumper on my 450r. had no problems so far running xc. had a problem one time with a dg on my 250r once so i switched to prm with none. i would reccomend prm's oil and water pump protecters.just a little added insurance. here is prm's part #

Trx453 (.125 thickness) frame skid
Trx454 (.190 thickness) frame skid
Trx449 (pump protecters)

I like Pro-Armor. I have their belly and a-arm skids. I use ONLY PRM Z-Plate .250 for the rear! They are the toughest plate I've ever owned!:macho

If your having problem with your aluminum belly plates vibrating and coming loose switch to a Maier plastic one and end your problems and their just as tough. And for a good XC swinger plate PRO-TECT is the only way to go, they are stainless steel and are tougher than hell alot heavier but worth the weight.

i have a dg i just installed because i looked at the underside of my bike and said:eek2: . the dg is great but its a ***** puttin it on . the only thing that sucked is the rear two bolts they give you dont work with the stock bolts. one is like 8mm and they give you 12mm with flat head:confused: i made it work but need flatheads so its smooth!!! use loktite!!!!!!!!! i take my rear stock off for mx and i have it trimmed so i can run my tm design roller .

i've always purchased PRM products and thought their products were superior, but I'd have to say i think their customer service has gotten rather terrible. My last swing skid developed a weld crack so i called to get fixed or replaced and even sent pictures but they choose to ignore or help in any way.

Armidillo

It is very over looked brand and it's a shame b/c they make really high quality stuff. I have 3 belly, 3 swinger, and one cooler rack. They are cheaper than all comperable skids and come with the thicker aluminum. At least check them out. Everyone that I have talked to and showed them mine ended up buying one, and they are happy in the end.

Yup my pro armor is breaking bolts now also, plus it keeps sliding back into the rear linkage and pisses me off! I would go with it again...

I bought a Pro Armour and trashed it in one race. I have been running a PRM for almost 2 seasons - it is looking pretty rough and has been welded a few times, but still works.
