are the raptors really too top heavy

400ex outhandles the raptor by a mile and the raptor is not as reliable and it really is top heavy

I have had both...the raptor is way faster then the 400ex stock vs stock...but the 400ex handles & has good speed...VS the raptor is more of a XC/Speed quad..."Its not that fast"

i'd really go with 400ex ne day over 660R jus my .02cents

I have a 400ex my budy has 03 raptor. When my ex was stock he would outrun me in sand drags. When it came to trails he never had a chance. Now that I have some mods I have to stop and wait for him to catch up.

If you get a good buy on a raptor I would buy it, if your just planning on rding and having fun. If your gonna race I wouldn't buy it They are a good fun quad to ride. Wheelie anytime anywhere.

my friend has one and it is real top heavy its a 2001 hasnt had any issues with it yet so i cant say it isnt reliable. I will outhandle him on the trails but the raptor does have more power and speed. He barley beat me on top end its like a mile an hour difference. I would rather take a 400ex though because its simple and can be built reliable. Once i get some engine work done this next summer i will probably take him easily.:cool:
