I was doin some work on the quad today and had the chain off. I noticed that when the quad was in nutral and i would rev it up the front sprocket would spin. It also did the same if i had it in gear and had the clutch pulled in. i was wandering if this is normal or is there something messed up in my clutch

its the clutch discs hiting on the crankshaft

its normal. it's a wet-type clutch, so it's all surrounded in oil. when one thing spins, the flow of the oil makes the other thing spin.

^^^ that is normal,and in case your wondering,it is normal for the sprocket to move a tiny bit when its on the shift shaft

perfectly normal with any wet-clutch setup. As long as it doesnt do it with a chain on it
