I've got a Cannondale right now that I'm looking to sell and replace with a new 450. The Cannondale is a great ride but very unreliable. I want to buy something brand new and set it up for MX.

The first thing I'm looking for is reliability. I want to hit the starter and ride without worrying about anything. My seat time will be split between trail riding and MX/AX.

There are pros and cons to all. The Yamahas have had a few problems. The Suzuki isn't the most attractive thing out there, but it already has the long travel and width. I think I really want the Honda over the Yamaha, but with the new Suzuki released I dunno what to do.

right now id say the 450r for all around, but the suzuki isnt even out to the public yet i dont think. you cant really put it in the pole because its had to time to prove its self. but from what we can see, the suzuki looks like it would tear up an mx track.

Indeed all the 450's are winners in the end. You really cant go wrong, but my vote is the 450r.

Ride the Cdale until the Zuk is out and running. Suzuki is now the king of the ring.

Well, I was planning to make enough off of a job that's coming up to get something pretty soon but that kinda fell through. :( But I should still be able to get something once I get my Banshee and Cannondale sold. I think a local dealer should be getting the new Suzuki next month so I'm probably going to wait and give it a test ride before I finalize anything. I'm really leaning towards the Honda though. That black is mad sexy! :eek2:

Falicon crank - $950
Porting - $4??
Kibblewhites - $225
Piston Kit - $150-$250
Stage 8 Kit - $100
Aluminum Impeller - $50
Misc. other updates - $200 MAYBE

All that and it would outrun any new 450, and be just as, if not more reliable

A lot cheaper then selling the Dale and getting a new 450:macho

This is true. Cannondale guys are very defensive and I don't want to get into an argument over it. Let's just say I've had very bad luck with the thing ever since I bought it. I'm tired of the headaches. I want something trouble free. The Dale is awesome when it's running but that's been the minority of the time I've owned it. There are just way too many kinks in the motor to try to work out and the parts are only going to become harder to come by as time goes by.
