well i am getting a truck sometime by this weekend and its a 82 chevy shortbed with the 350 in it. and the guy says you might need some new tires. and i got the money right now and the truck is only 400$. so i got a ton of money left to spend. which i don't like to spend money but for this i will. i was just woundering how big of tires i could fit under that truck and it already ready has 4 inchs of lift on it. so anybodies help will work.

thanks and bye for now

I would put some agressive 33''s on it so you still would have plenty of room under the wheel wells for mud and snow build up.

I've driven a truck with 40's and no lift on 82 HD one ton, they come factory with the equivalent of 4 inches, he didnt even have to trim too much

what I'm saying is, its all about how much you want to rim the fenders, more importantly you have to cinsider the gearing the truck has in it and how streetable you want to truck to be

if its a k10 run 33's... 10 bolt axles tend to grenade diffs with anything bigger if remotely wheeled... on a k20 35's but you will probably need some trimming...

If your not using it as a daily driver you could shave the fenders and put in something bigger. I have a 79 jeep cj-5 with a 4 inch suspension and i fit 38.5x15's under it without shaving the fenders

I want 33's for my taco but I don't thick they will fit with my 2.5" lift. Bfg has a 32x11 if not back to 31x10.5, that is wahat is on it now.

33's and a 4" lift is actually ideal

You better save all the money you can to gas that thing up every other day! I got rid of my shortbox Chevy because of the gas mileage, I love the trucks but they have the aerodynamics of a brick! Get us some pics with your new tires and truck!
