does anyone know how thick the port walls are in the 450's head? has anyone ported their own and how much material did you remove?

im not so sure on how thick they are but i did my own port and polish job and i probably only did a mild port, turned out real nice and noticable

They are fairly thick. About 3/16 of an inch. Before you hit h2o

just be careful not to go to far on the top of the intake port you will cut into the exhaust seat.

My bad I meant intake spring seat.

actually the intake port is surrounded by water jacket to keep the intake port cool and charge cool before entering the cylinder.

DASA is correct 3/16" surrounding the whole intake port
