i've read that the factory swingarm on the 400ex will crack and that an aftermarket swingarm is needed for people that ride harder than normal(that's me:devil ) i jump all the time and ride some pretty ruff trails

I'd buy a new one when you actually break the stocker,, it took me alittle over a year to break it and I ride hard.

And I reccomend a Laeger's +1 1/4" swingarm when you break your stocker,

thanx for the advice RacerX, how much difference does that extra 1.25 inches help in keeping the nose down?

even thought, with as much power you could still pop a wheelie whenever you wanted:D

can you even tell the difference with that much power?

also, does anyone else have experience with other swingarms?(durability wise) anything ranging from stock length to +2 in.

i'm 15, bout to be 16, so when i get my licence maybe we could.......no, i don't know where Marietta Soap Company is. i ride behind my house, there are hundreds of acres of woods(in the process or creating trails through all of it), a little sand, and jumps. but it wouldn't be worth the drive for you to come.

my lil brother has an '02 250EX, and my dad just bought a kawasaki 650 Praire, so we've been trying to find places in MS to ride. Do you know of any?

how old are you, what do you ride?

I haven't ridden with stock tires yet, only the holeshot mx front and rear and the bike seems to turn much sharper and seems more stable. http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/e1ae99bc/bc/Smokers+Pics/s-arm.jpg?bcgQlM9AsDzPzrif

i posted an add in the classifieds,... the surface where the swingarm bearings are seated into are all jacked up on mine. I had to use a torch to cut the bolt out.... after getting the swingarm off i found that the bearings had worn into the swingarm... so now the new bearings wont fit into the swingarm. I have a front set of WORKS triple rates without resies ill trade for a good swingarm... all the shocks need is to be revalved, i have all the bushings you need for them..... HELP!!!!
