where is it cracked at? on the previous body style they would crack around teh steering box and a company makes a bolt on kit. for the newer ones, 88-98 body style i dont think there is such a thing, you could plate it, or box it. we have done this on some toyotas that rust out in the rear. just build a box around the frame and weld it on all sides.

well i think if you take 2 rectangular pieces of plate steel and get them cut longer then the crack and drill a hole on each side of them and the crack and bolt them in it will do the job thats what we did to fix our field bomber and it works very good but for street use id get a professional ok befor u go and try to get an inspection.

im preaty sure its illegal to weld on a frame, unless ur certified in that field. i know a operation here got busted cuz their welder wasnt ASC er somethin er other certified, and a few other people have ben ticketed for welding on their cars/trucks at home
