air box ?

is it bad to take your air box lid off and run it like that. i know its bad because u can get mud and stuff down there but i mean like for dry days and rode riding? and only for like 5 mins.

no, its not a wise idea. because you run lean from the factory and with the lid off you are running way leaner on your mixture. just add a bigger main, but then you are running rich with the lid on.

If you remove the airbox lid, put an Outerwear on the air filter and remove the drain plug on the bottom of the airbox. Also, rejetting is a must.

If you keep the air filter clean and well oiled you shouldn't have any problems.
