Rules are you can race due to it being in your state. That is if you want to. Nj people reserve the right to last minute cancelations. I hear Dirt may actually race this one. Is this a myth?

Hey Lou,

I just wanted to thank everyone that made it out to the event.

We tried really hard to put on a first class act and a lot of work and effort when into this event.

Throughout the week as we staked, ribboned, fenced and arrowed the course, we prayed that the rain would stop, but it didn’t until Saturday morning.

Just the thought of how 7 days of rain and close to 12 inches of rainfall would do to discourage anyone from showing to our first event.

Every evening we watched the Weather Channel and hoped that the weather would change, but it didn’t.

Were we depressed? Yes!

Were we defeated? No!

We did what we had to, to make it happen and those that showed up, I hope we impressed you with what we had built.

Again, we’re in this for the long haul, but we need your support to make it happen.

Thanks to all that made it and I’m sorry to those that didn’t, because I think we put on one hell of an event.

Congratulation to Chris Borish for his win, this guy is a class act and we should all be proud of him.

Hope to see you all at our next event.

Dale.

I'll be at the next one, the rain discouaraged me from coming and plus the thought of me having a ride a 200x discouraged me too, next one I will have a 85 250r. how bad was the mud, from the pics some parts look pretty bad. I almost have the bike done and I gotta go do some trail riding(all I do is mx) to get back into it. Its way different to ride a atc between mx and trails, the biggest isssue is the width and the ruts. Did you find a place for the race in centrel jersey yet?

Atlantic Grand Prix Trail Ride last Sunday Oct 30th Thank you to all!

I’d like to thank everyone that made it out last Sunday for our trail ride and trail break-in, up at North American WarHorse just out side of Scranton PA. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day weather wise.

I’d also like to thank our host and sponsors, North American WarHorse who graciously allowed us use of their facilities as well as helping us secure access to the 2000+ acres of land behind their dealership. They were extremely supportive with bringing this series up to the Scranton PA area and are a great asset to the Off-Road community. If you haven’t had a chance to checkout their dealership please do so, it’s quite impressive.

Also Bombardier ATV and Mark Allison who have been extremely supportive in launching this new series. If you haven’t checked out their product I highly advise you to do so. It’s quite impressive and maybe the best designed Quads on the market. Also Moose Racing USA for coming through big time with course marking materials. As well as Greg Hamill and Pocono Mountain ATV club for coming out and helping with the trail

Something also that should be noted was that we had a Quad that ripped a huge hole in it’s tire about 10 miles out on the trail and it couldn’t be plugged. So we called down to the staging area and the team from North American Warhorse ran a brand new wheel up the mountain on a Rhino and installed it out in the woods so that the rider could continue on with the ride. Now that’s great service!

I thought the turnout was great and hopefully, everyone will continue to support the rest of our events that we have planned for the remainder of 2005 and 2006.

Photos are up at: http://www.atlanticgrandprix.com

Again, Thank you very much, we enjoyed putting on the event and hopefully we’ll see you all on Nov 12th and 13th 2005.

This past event in Scranton, Pa was a good one. The track was tough but had a good mix of terrain. It was tight in spots and wide open in others. It had some extremely rocky sections, creek crossings, mud holes, and the 200 yard tunnel. North American Warhorse was open for business for anyone that needed anything for the race. They also allowed the land to be used for the race. The class structure was just like the GNCC, so there was a class for everyone. The trophies were also nice. The staff was very friendly and did an excellent job. I'll be at the next one.

Dale@AGP
11-17-2005, 10:29 AM
First I’d like to thank all the riders that came out and supported our event both on Saturday and Sunday November 12th and 13th up at North American Warhorse in Scranton PA.

I’d also like to thank North American Warhorse and their crew for making the land available, Bombardier ATV for coming through big time with support and sponsorship, as well as the Lackawanna Emergency Squad, Tony and the guys from Valley ATV Club for providing chase riders as well as all the volunteers that worked on the event.

As everyone is well aware the event was tough on the riders and their equipment. So for the December 4th event we are going to be running the valley course along both sides of the reservoir stream where there is more soil than rocks. The course is going to be reduced down to about eight miles instead of 10 and it will have more winding roads for more passing. WE WILL NOT BE GOING UP TO THE TUNNEL OR UP ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN WHERE THE ROCKS ARE! Sorry about that.

As I said before, we really value the feedback from the riders. If there is something you didn’t like tell us and we’ll fix it. If there is something you liked we’ll improve on it. This series is for ATV riders and both my team and I want to make this the best little Off-Road series in the country.

The electronic scoring system worked flawlessly and I’d like to thank both Andy Sharp and Kirk Sessions who have been instrumental in bring the system online. We’re still trying to get the transponders up for 2006 and are working on ironing out the bugs.

Results and photos are up at: http://www.atlanticgrandprix.com

Again, Thanks for everyone’s support and we really enjoyed meeting everyone and putting on the event. You are a great group of people and you should all be proud of yourselves.

Dale

Dale Freitas, Director of the Atlantic Grand Prix Series
http://www.atlanticgrandprix.com

P.S. This is a new series and we need the support of the riders. Tell your all your friends and get them out and racing. As I said before, we need larger numbers to make it work. We’re committed to doing a full series for 2006 and we the have land and new locations that have never seen a race before. As well as major sponsors that want to be part of the series for 2006. Right now we’re looking at 14 events all within the area of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Central New York.

As of today the December 4th event out of NA Warhorse is canceled due to SNOW and ICE on the course.

I was up there this past Sunday and even though it was in the low 50’s there was still snow and a lot of ice on the revised course.

Again my apologies for the cancellation, but we're doing it for rider safety.
