XBOX Problems

Does anyone know how to open up a Xbox to take it apart, there is not a screw one on the outside of this thing. I dont think it pops apart, but anyway help a brother out, thanks

there are screws under the rubber feet and 2 more under the labels on the bottom

Thanks, also does anyone know why it will play everything but games? I'm clueless, maybe its dirty, but then wouldnt it not play music cd's or dvd's? Thanks again

screw it morgan....get the 360!!!!!!! i am :D :D :D

my xbox is doing the same thing..it tells me my games are dirty after about 45 minutes of playing. im gettins a ps3

i can mob my Xbox to be better than the ps3 the ps3 should not do as good as the 360...the 360 is releaseing earlier and its state of the art...the ps3 is gonna wait to see how 360 does and if i does good they will push the launch date back to next fall and if 360 does bad they will release next spring...im keeping my xbox for another reason it is literally half the money a 360 or ps3 will be

Before you go screwing around and taking it apart, call XBOX, and ask how much to get it fixed. I bought an extended warranty($25) for mine when I bought it for christmas the first year out. I have sent mine in twice to get repaired, for the same issues, and it costs me nothing. Even shipping is handled by them. Its been over a year since the last repair trip, and I havent seen any problems since. Our box is on for probably 4 to 5 hours a day seven days a week, and the HD is like 80% full. If you do decide to mod it, wait till its repaired.

youre better off to get the 360 cause if you mod your xbox to be as good at the 360 its no good anyway since they wont release any games for it anyway once the 360 is out

if your going to call micrsoft don't tell them you opened it, I think once you open it up your self your warranty is cancelled. But modding them is awesome ( i don't have the money to blow on it) but my neighbor can download dvd's and games to his, i believe he threw on a 60gig harddrive or maybe 120 can't remember but the little **** had god knows how many games.

I've had my Xbox for 3+ years now with countless hours on it with not a single problem and it's been through 2 moves. I've already got money on the $399 version of the 360 and I'll buy the PS3 when it comes out if there are games I'm dying to have that won't be released on the 360.

What? After you bad mouthed Sony and the PS2 for how many months/year....and talked about how great your Xbox was compared to the PS2...now your Xbox is giving you problems and you want to buy another Sony game system????

There is no way you will ever be able to mod the XBOX to be even close the the hardware capabilities of the PS3 or the 360 for that matter.
There aren't many computers that have the processing power of the PS3. Its hardware specs are amazing. Lets just hope the software developers can put all of that hardware to good use.

the 360's graphics weren't nothing "amazing". they looked just like new pc graphics out now.

The PS3s processor has 9 cores with each core doing a specific processing task. This should make the physics parts of games alot more realistic. Graphics are really getting to a point that major improvements are going to happen.

Whoever said the x-box is state of the art better stop watching those x-box commercials.

All the x-box has is dual processrs which isnt anything STATE OF THE ART, but i did read something about the ps3 using a totaly new technology which actualy is state of the art...

Also do a search for "Xbox Problems" on google, this will yield 8,260,000 results

then, type in Ps2 problems into google and it will only yield 2,610,000 results :D

xbox has more problems because people mod them and often dont know what they are doing
