I just got a 1993 300ex that has full DG RCM exhaust and a foam moose filter. I have no clue what type of carb is on this thing, all I know is that its the stock Kehin carb so I would think its a FCR??? Ok So my question is with a full exhaust, and my lid taken off my air box with a foam moose filter what should I be jetted around for elivation 4,720 ft.?? Please help im trying to get this thing tuned.................

Also is a foam moose filter considered quality intake? I mean its way better then a stock filter right? and lets more air in right? Or does it only let more air in with you make the intake whole bigger?

It's kind of hard to give exact jetting specs since every quad and the conditions are different. I would start with a 128 main jet and a 40 or 42 pilot and go from there. I am running a sparks w/a modded airbox lid and I'm using a 135main and 42 pilot. I am much closer to sea level than you are though. The only way to get it right is to do a plug chop. There are a couple good articles on jetting here http://www.atvriders.com/articles/index.html

As for the moose filter I can't really give much info since I haven't heard anything about them but I would bet it does flow better than a stock filter.
