I got a 03 400EX and i noticed that the stock shocks are adjustable. So i got a couple questions about this:

1: How do you adjust the front and rear

2: What setting should these be on??

3: I weigh about 240lbs, where should i adjust them to???

4: Will it make a difference if i adjust them??

Thanks for any info on this subject.

to adjust the preload, you need a spanner wrench, can be picked up at most local shops or in factory tool kit. the rear is also comp and reb adjustable. YOu cant really tell someone where they should be at. it all depends on how you ride, weight, the terrain, and just how it feels to you. just mess with the preload and ride it until it feels the best. the comp. and reb. i would mark where they are now before you do anything to them.

to ajust the front just get a pipe wrench and set the ajuster to the tallest mark for stiffest and the bottom setting for the softest. for the rear, the flat head skrew on top is the ajuster to make it hard or soft. the bottom flat head skrew is the rebound to make if faster or harder. there is a preload ajuster on it to but not sure how to do that one.
