I sand drag race my 400ex and I have the stock gears both front and back. What do u think would be the best sprocket ratios for sand drag racing!!!!!! Whatever is best and gets me off the line faster!

Thanks

I run 20" sand stars in the rear and stock gearing but it really needs a hotcam or to drop a tooth in the front, those sand stars hook up awesome but they take some grunt to start a holeshot in 2nd in wet sand.

Don't run sand stars or gliders, if you're just looking to drag then use Skat Trak Haulers.

would you please explain why you wouldnt want to use gliders?have you ever tried them?I see you are from eugene so I imagine you make it to florence, coo's bay and winchester. I have ran this setup in all of the oregon dunes, glamis,st. anthony's idaho, as well as a many other places. I can tell you I have tried about all of the paddles you have seen out in the dunes and still the 22/11/8glider still out performs in the drags (on a 400ex) what many do not understand Is you can over paddle a bike and make it slower
with the gliders they are a two ply, seven small paddle tire that weigh about as much as blue label rims, and due to the thin side wall plys actually grow in size as you accelerate.I know this b/c we have built two identical bikes (motor and power wise)and have raced them against each other with a plethora of sand tires and the gliders came out on top everytime at comphill,100ft,300ft,and even wide open down the beach at florence they are just faster!
