For All of those wanting to see some pics of a 12 Bar.. Here is one I made for my 04 400ex here it is... I made it with a removable wear pad also... It is bolt on so I can remove it at any time..:D

That is one of the better 12 o'clock bars I've seen. The bars I've seen are raw steel and discolored from the welds. That looks good!

I was thinking about making a couple and selling them on ebay, to see what response I got on them, NOBODY makes 12 bars for a 400ex or any other atv that I know of, I will look into making some more of these this fall and keep everybody posted.... Here is another picture with the plastic on...

Are your handle bars bent? One problem I see with the replaceable part is how they're mounted. Are those bolts that just screw into the replaceable pad? Won't those get grinded down after a while? I'm sure it is an easy fix and I have a couple ideas for it. If I'm seeing it wrong please correct me. I'm just trying to help improve an already amazing part that you have created.

My bars have never touched the ground, must just be the picture.... As far as the bolts good question I could have drilled & tapped half way through the wear bar, But I figured I can get the bolts free at my shop, so I dont mind replacing them, However If I made one to sell I probably would"t drill all the way through, It would look nicer anyway.

Actually, if you had to replace the wearbar, you could just replace the bolts too. I don't think getting them out would be that hard. I was just trying to cut down on parts that have to be replaced. I mean what are 3 bolts at an autoparts store????....$1.50?

I'd recomend countersinking some holes in the opposite side and put the screws in that way. Then you will get more ware out of it and be held on stonger plus when you see the pad getting close to the screw heads you'll know it needs replaced.

jak1389...... I will try and take some pics this weekend, If it ever stops raining here..... Also to reply to some comments the way I have attached the bolts is the same concept all the other guys are doing it on the SPORT BIKES, All though some are drilling only half way through the wear pad, so the bolt ends won't be exposed.... I am going to make some more, but Im going to use the same dia. metal for the sides as well . I think it will be stronger that way. Anybody intersted in buying one for a 400ex if I make some more????
