Hey ive got 400 ex arms on my 300. I have 400 shocks but i am not gonna put them on because i dont trust the relocating bracket. My ? is if i buy some works shocks fo my 300 what should i look for as in valved for plus 2 or stock. Rite now i have stock shocks on it n it blows. Wish i bought used plus 2 arms for the 300 but now im stuck with these so help me out please:confused:

The 400 arms will throw you handling out the window. It totally changes the measurments and geometry. If I were you, I'd put the stock 300 arms back on. The shocks weren't designed for 400 arms and you are chancing a crash because parts weren't designed for one another and although they seem to be compatible, won't ever work as well as factory tested/developed units.

I'd put the old arms back on and then order the works.

i have 400ex arms, shocks, and relocation bracket the handeling is fine so ride your 250ex...the travel is alot better i jump it a ton no problems all the allignment is perfect...take a look front ends look the same if it works on a 400ex why wouldnt it pn a 300ex...300ex shocks make it sit tt and has a real steep angle...but anyone who says it messes up the front end has never tried riding one with a 400ex front end

Your best bet is to sell the 400ex stuff and buy something made for the 300ex. I had the conversion for about a year and ran custom built works shocks made for the conversion and it still didn't work very well. I have since switched to aftermarket 300ex a arms and I'm so much happier with it.

your the only one so far that keeps telling everyone about how bad it is to put 400ex shocks on a 300ex frame and the same as for the a arms

ok i respect all your opinions, but just dont take this and turn it into one of those big arse internet arguments;) , now i will say that it does handle better, actually much better than stock, and i think im going to have to just settle for what i have, to tell you the truth i just dont want it to look goofy with the 400 shocks, and please just tell me if it honestly is practically equal to just running dual rate works rec shocks.

ok i ran works shocks on my standered front end it was good but still jumps and divets pushed it to far and i also ran that font shock with my 400 arms pretty much set the arms straight across tt style but i was road running there for a while so it worked but the setup is great the relocation bracket is perfect im almost positive its never gunna break even though i managed to break a stock 300 shock...as for the toe messing up im gunna cjeck that out this weekend when im home but im believe it handles great in all situations

That's probably because everyone else who knows the truth about the setup is sick and tired of answering threads on this subject. It has been posted more times than I care to count. Personally I doubt I'll answer any more threads on this myself. Nobody listens anyhow.:ermm:
