made for first trip this season down to glamis.... had a buddy with me that has a 06 yfz450, completely stock except for paddles... we raced a raptor 660 that had full exhaust and who knows what else... i beat both of them but was looking back watching them as we screamed up the hill and the raptor didnt beat my buddy by much at all... throw a nice pipe and fitler on the 450 and it'll beat 90% of the raptors out there, throw in a cam and it'll beat 99%. i only saw one 700 out there and it was stock and it beat a ds650 (big accomplishment...). i didnt get to race him though... im sure i'll see quite a few more next weekend when i go down again, so i'll let you know... im looking foward to racing a few too... :D

I have both... an '04 Raptor with full Yoshi, open K&N, and LRD jet kit. I weigh approx 200 lbs. My wife's bike is an '05 YFZ 450, Ron Woods airbox eliminator kit, rejetted, baffle pulled out of the stock cannister and she weighs approx 135 lbs. Both bikes had the front sprocket dropped down 1 tooth. The Raptor would win 9 times out of 10. Put a full HMF exhaust on the 450, re-jetted again, went back to stock front tooth, and did a few other little tricks and now unless you get a terrible start, the YFZ wins the majority of the races. Stock for stock, the YFZ should win everytime. Just my $0.02
