Makes me wonder if honda will be FI in 07 then. I like what it could do to the sport quad market alot though. Could make the competition really step it up!

The only thing i like better about the suzuki is the EFI. I think that would be great to have but im happy with my 450r and plan on having it for a long time to come.

we'll see how this thing holds up. i dont really see efi being a advantage except for increased fuel economy (i dont need that). it would be nice to have a already race ready quad though.

Did you happen to see the power curve on the 05 or 06 trx450r. Maybe FI could smooth out the power curve a little:p

EFI is trash on a quad. Its much easier to get power out of a carb, and a much simpler operation with less to fail.

The blue and white doesn't look too bad. I just called my sales manager that was starring at it at the time I called him and he said you will have to see it in person, it looks sweet he said. Said it has to be 4" wider in the front than a LTZ. Now that I look at those pictures again, it does look pretty wide. We will soon see. I am a Honda guy but it's good to see competition, it tends to always benefit the consumer.

I'm a Honda guy too, but that new Suzuki is awesome... I'm not exactly a fan of the looks either... But for me it's more important how a machine feels and handles on the race track than how it looks! And from what I see from the specs, it should be a tough threat for the YFZ and TRX next year at the GNCs.

I couldn't live with that center exhaust and without the light in front it does look like a yfz. I'm honda too and can't wait to get my 06 black 450r:)

For everyone bashing the EFI, yes I am a whiny Cannondale owner. I have an R now as well that's built decently and I've rode several similar built YFZs and I will honestly say the Cannondale is the only bike I will never get rid of. The EFI just makes the power so snappy when you want it, but smooth all the way through. I know it's kind of contradictory, but it is hard to explain. Anyone who has rode a dale though knows what EFI is about. I would love to have the new Suzuki.

I think you guys are bashing EFI before you even know how good it is. I own a 93 arctic cat wildcat 700 EFI with pipes, heads are plained 50 thou,chip,and that thing has been nothing but great. No problems and runs great at any temperature,never needs jetting, starts first pull all the time(arctic cat is a suzuki motor and is old) Just before you thinnk I am a suzuki fan I am not I am a die hard honda fan and allways will be but they don't build a sled yet. SO arctic cat is the ****. I think you guys should just give it a try first, I wish my new TRX was EFI. But I will take a big carb instead.

We will see just how great this bike is once the shootouts are done.

its not really needed on the bigger car engine either. like i said smooths the powerband a little and makes it more fuel efficient. also makes modding it more expensive.
