i know that fst makes one but how much, good quality?, and i have also seen another type of oil koolers on a 250x which is basicaly the same thing i think it was a jagg or something how are they? thanks for all the help

also since the motor is running cooler i know there will be a better performance but will i actually gain any HP?
P.S. i am getting works with rezzies saturday will the oil cooler work with them since they are mounted on the frame rails up front because from the pix i have seen that is where the oil cooler mounts

i heard jagg is suppose to be good, but i wounldn't waste my money on one of those unless i was boreing out my quad.

You won't get more power from it, you will just be able to keep the power you have longer.

Yes, it will help alot when its a hot day, and your riding all day.
Heat on a fourstroke = decreased power.
Theres a sweet shpot for too much cooling, and too little.
But,i have heated up pretty good, and lost a good bit of "ummphh". Its still there, just the engine gets hot. The coolers would also help with an aftermarket cam, and rockers.

Overall, i think it would be a good buy.

i have thought about getting one my self but im just woried about when i get out the pressure washer to wash it will that mess up the fins??? i know it does on radiators but what about this? did you have any trouble installing it? i know that the oil comes out/goes in the oil filter cover i think but where is the other hose go to?? thanks

I've heard there hard to install and yes a pressure washer will screw up the cooler, the cooler is a oil radiator. Its a radiator, it radiats the oil, not coolant

back when I had a 250x I figured out that you could use a 350x oil cooler on it. the oil filter cover has one line on it so that will bolt on, the other you have to drill the case. I think the 300ex has the spot on the case also below the filter where the line goes. its a matter of if you want to drill it or not. of course I think you have to drill into the motor with the other kits also. and yes those kits are using a common cooler that has soft fins, not near as tuff as the honda stuff.

Yeah these coolers will help you out Espescially if you ride in sand pits(noticed NJ) The oil comesback to the motor near the sump .It is a worthwhile investment espescially with a modded motor. I have also made air spoilers to direct air to your topend . These are the cheapest way to cool it down. On 400s you can feel the difference with the spoilers the motor is much cooler.
