Tie rod nut wont stay tight?

The tie rod that conects to the steering stem keeps working its way loose? I can tighten the nut at the bottom, where the cotter pin is, and after a ride, it is loose again, and my front end has play in it?

Its only on one wheel.

maybe a bad tie rod end?

have you tried a small amount of blue loctite:confused:

Yea I used to get that on my suzuki. No matter what even if you use loctite they keep coming loose and you get slop in the front end. I repleced all the tie rod ends after the season and I made them really tight and used red loc tite and they never came loose. I think once they lossen up once it takes the tight tolarances of the threads away from spinning around loose in there makes the keep coming loose every time you ride.

I just got the bike...I will try some good loctite. Just didn't know if my tierod ends were bad.

I had the same problem awhile back, loctite fixed it right up:)

Mine 300ex still did it with red loctite. Had to tighten them every 2 or 3 hard rides, then got some green and they never came loose.
