250x axle removal

so im taking everthing apart cleaning repainting and i cant get my axle to come out of the bearing carrier (sorry if this is on here somewhere but i did search it) is there some more c-clips inside the carrier that i cant see the whole thing is out right now carrier and axle still in it it tried putting it all back in and tapping on the axle to get it out but nothing someone please enlighten me cause its starting to frustrate me:mad:

i tried a regular hammer when it was still all together but it was starting to mess up the end when you did it with a sledge did mess up the end of the axle

screw the nut so its flush with the end of the axle then treat it like a rotten stepchild!

okay tried that and it ripped the threads out of the nut so im gonna get a new nut and the put a piece of wood between it then just beat it,its been soaking in some penetraiting lube so hope it helps a little

ok i got it out but the end of the axle is muffed up would one of those thread fixing tools work on this im also replacing my carrier bearings using the oven technique one bearing came out still working on the other

there is a clip on the axle under the axle nut and a c-clip that holds the bearing carrier in
