I like everything but the pipe, little too fat for me. Did you look into paul turner pipes? By far the best for a 250R

thas a very good topend pipe, hang on cuz when u hit the power band yur gunna go for a ride. i hope u hav some porting and a good set of reeds and filter that can flow enuf air... and yur next investment may be an oversized gas tank, runnin wide open like that pipe likes it will drain yur stock one in a hurry.

i do like the color scheme too, tite ride.

The motor is a la sleeve 295 with the stock jug. The bore is 72.95 I am not sure who ported it buy it looks like and runs like they did a good job. Got the rad valve too so we will se what happens. I think i deffinetely am going to need a larger tank but they just dont look that good to me. I guess i have to be practical on that one. The graphics are from go for it graphics.com. I bought almost all of this bike off of ebay so i kept the cost down quite a bit. I am not sure exactly what i have into it. The motor was in good shape when i got it, but i had the crank rebuilt all new bearings and seals, 89 clutch update kit, 295 kit, new clutch etc. It was a real joy building this bike and took a while. I have 3 more to do ohhh boy. My wifes 87 r is gonna be sick, as well as my father in laws 89. Riding is a family thing around here and we all have bikes mostly 250rs.

I like the color scheme too.
the CLARK 4 gallon is the best looking and fitting tank on the market. I too didnt like the clark 4 gallon when i first got it but they are great! those small tanks are a joke and if your in any kind of dunes you are definately limited.
If i didnt have the 4 gallon tank on out in glamis sand dunes my trip would have been spent filling up every 1-2 hours running wot, instead i got 3-4 hours. We ran down sand highway in 6th (or 5th)3/4 to WOT about 10 to 20 miles. we took a break at the end of it and the R's were lower on gas then everyone, but we were going faster most of the time and slowed down for everyone to catch up. if we had the stock tanks we would have run out of gas halfway down sand highway.

man what a rush sand highway is.

both these R's have clark 4 gallon tanks, and i dont think they look gay

i hate to oversized gas tanks as well, so i just have a small gas can in my 6 pack rack and just use a camel pack for water... the extra gas is not only good for trail riding, but also i shoot the hill tons so if i dont bring more gas i might not make it back to camp... just my 2 cents... i prefer the 6 pack rack with a small can...
