I have an 03 400ex with red plastic in good shape w/ # plate backgrounds, also with it a ims oversized tank, i am looking to sell or trade for white plastic and a stock tank, make offer i will post a pic

i dont really want race cut, i do alot of water and mud crossings, a hood is ok cause i want to put aftermarket lights on

Yes, tank is stock... but I know that some IMS tanks come kinda close to the carbs on a stock 400ex setup. I can take pic's later with the seat off...

Hey, I received the tank today and it is junk to me. NEVER once did you mention that it is cracked all accross the front. Why would you even put something up for sale here on the boards that you know no one can use????

I will inculde pic's for all to see. I will send it back but expect a full refund.

This post led me to believe that there was NOTHING wrong with the tank, didi I miss something here?????

It doesnt leak or anything. it is just on the top of the tank, that is how it was sold to me and I ran it in all conditions all summer and never had any problem with it.

I still feel that the cracks should have been disclosed prior to the sale. I bought the tank with the intentions of running the Baja 1000 (1000 mile race). I really do not want to risk a fire due to the tank cracking further and me not being able to finish the race or even worse, loosing the quad due to a fire.

I highly doubt there will be any problems with it. If you were going to run the baja wouldnt you buy new?

Normally, yes I would buy new. However when someone states in "good condition", the last thing expected is to get it with cracks all along the front!!! There is no way that you can blame me for you selling a faulty product that you knew was damaged. I was just trying to save a little $$ as we all are at this point, since I still dont have any huge sponsors to help me through the races.

At this point I'm not going to use the tank and will have to buy new!!

I wasnt putting the blame on anyone, I said good, I think that tank still is good. If it leaked or had a hole almost through then it would have been in bad shape, but that is the way I purchased it.
