250R cutting out

I am getting ready for a dune trip in a couple weeks and was wanting my R running perfect for the trip. My 250R is still cutting out little a bit on the top end. I have tried every main jet and needle position without it fixing the problem. I then thought maybe it was a cracked reed causing the problem so I just tore into it and the reeds look perfect. Do you guys think it could be something electrical? I tried another coil and it is still doing it???? Any other ideas that would cure this problem? CDI? Any suggestions would help. Thanks. Tom

you probly already checked it but whats your plug gapped at. mine will cut out like that if my plugs gapped any more than 20

Just like Blacker said. Change the gap on your plug to .018 and you should be ok. Too much compression will blow out the stock ignitoin spark.
