My 250x needed rings. Did I go to far? Any way I just wanted to post a pic of my progress. This will be mostly a stock rebuild. Just with with everything cleaned up. New bearings and seals as well as the reuseable stuff will be well greased. I may try to get a raptor rear shock and if I come accress a "good deal" on other stuff I'll think about it as time and $ allows.

Yea I just hope I remember where all the nuts and bolts go. I don't think you have a problem at least not a bad one. It's been fun so far. It was getting the frame sand blasted, I went to a buddies shop. It was an open air unit (not like a cabinet) and I was covered in sand, my buddy was laughing his ***** off. He said I looked like a snow man.

im pretty much doing the same thing but using anti sease on lots of stuff so repairs in the future wont be such a pain in the ***. it looks pretty good so far. did you paint the arms and swing?

Yep that anti-sease stuff works pretty damn good. I did paint the arms and the swinger. It isn't the color that was on the cap (I wanted more grey in color) but it has started to grow on me. I could always change it. I have to wait until the pivot tube bearing rebuild kit comes in. It's the one from All Balls (http://www.allballsracing.com/bearing_and_seal_kits.htm) before I put it back together, so I hope they are worth the 40 bucks.

That 350x motor will be nice man .... I was thinking about throwing some kind of 2 stroke motor in it out of a dirt bike or something .... But right now i am getting a good deal on a cylinder head for the 250x motor sooo .... i dont know maybe in the future .... I just need to find out if a 87' 250x cylinder head will work on a 91' 250x culinder ....

BTW ... my 250x frame looks excactly the same but where the grey is its black .... All i have done to it so far is the front brakes blead and the bottom skid on .... and i threw the plastics on just to see how she looks ... Got pics in sig ....

I'm liken those black plastics 660Grizz04 and I don't think you will have any problems with cylinder heads and as far puttin a 350x motor in it I had thought about that but I don't have the time to mess with a custom exhaust and what all else, but notfastenuf4me post pics if you can. That conversion is definatley something I would do if I had two maybe. One to ride and one to wrench on, but nobody wants to give me one and I can't afford two. So I will just buy little performance goodies here and there and make it run as best as possible.

Ok so here's the update. New Wiseco 1.0 mm overbore. Went with the dome. I can hear Tim Allen going "ugg.. ugg big boom, more power oww... oww. So while I had the head apart for inspection we decided to gasket match the intake runner and the exhaust port. Not a true port and polish but it's a little better than original. I put new bearings and seals in the rear and so on it goes.
