can anyone tell me if it will hurt to take the spark arrestor out of a 250ex....and will it help the engine performance or anything?...plz let me know asap

wont hurt it, just might have to put in a bigger main jet. i dont think youll feel much any difference in power though.

It shouldnt hurt it,it will be louder.Also u may have to rejet

well thank you guys...could anyone else give me some info about this..like how big of a jet i will need ...

find out the stock main jet size and get the next size up and maybe one bigger than that one just to be safe.

well i have seen many different 250ex's have there spark arrestors out and they sound much different then mine....but give me some more details on this stuff

r rapter has no spark arrestor and i dont think it got n e more power all it did is get louder and start fouling plugs.

take a 2 inch pipe ang stick it through the middel and keap it their and it will guve u some power.

or u could take off the stock muffler and take a steal holow pipe and connect it to your header and it will be loud, safe, and as good as a slip on. but u proply would have to bend it some how so it wouldnt hit your tire or axel.:blah:

One of the 1st things i did was take the spark arrestor out and add an k@n filter and drilled holes in the air box lid i gained 5 mph.Went from 58.7 to 63.8 according to the gps.I didnt jet up then.
