How many links does a 400ex chain have in it? I'm ordering a new chain and don't want to spend $80 on the honda chain so I'm getting another one but I need the size.

it is 94 links. there is a good chance you will need to order a chain with more links and cut it down.

ok thanks, do you know what size it is?

Edit: I found this kit, and I do need a new front sprocket, and the whole kit is cheaper than msot chain and front sprockets alone. Would this be any good? I would go with a DID x ring chain

have one on the sport great chain.
