I am considering parting out my hybrid CRF450
I've got it for sale at http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=177859 if you want to see pics and get info.
I am only asking about the engine right now, because that is the most valuable part and if i cant sell that then i dont want to sell the other stuff either, so dont ask about anything other than the motor, pipe, carb. that stuff.
Give me some offers
Thanks

1800-2000 is more realistic

I would have to say 1300-1600 is the going price used.

I just sold a built crf motor with 10 hours on it for 1750 bucks. Thats about as much as your going to get for it. You are going to have good luck if you post it on some carting sites. Right now they are in the early stages of using 450 motors in them. Good luck.

I wouldn't say its not worth parting it out. It seems now more than ever you will make more if you take the effort to take you bike/quad apart, and then part it out. Just because you aren't going to get $3000 out of a motor, carb, and exhast doesn't mean it isn't a viable option to part out. There are many quad guys that have hybrids that are looking for spare parts and you will more than likely get more parting it out. Don't take what we are saying here as a negative thing. We all here are trying to make you more aware of what the average price of crf engines is going for. Like I said I had a 02 crf motor that had been totally rebuilt by Rich Rohrich at forward motion with a stage 1 hotcam, new top end, 04 cam chain tensioner, ported, and I sold mine with the kickstarter, and shift lever. I got 1750 from a carting guy. I have made more from parting my bike out then I had offers for it all together. Make a list of everything on your quad you would want to sell, and then look on ebay, all quad sites, and see what is the going price.
