Ok, so obviously I need more air. Should I adjust the mixture screw at the bottom of the carb? Which way is which when adjusting too?

if you need more air,then its running rich i would assume. you can take off your airbox lid for more air, cut a few holes on it and leave it on or just use a smaller main jet. i prefer to jet down

Depends on where you're needing to lean out?

Whole throttle range? If so do Bradleys suggestion.
Idle - 1/4 throttle: turn out air screw.
1/4 - 3/4 throttle: lower needle
3/4-Full throttle: smaller main jet.
