400EX vs KX 85

i have no mods but no airbox lid

a lot of people do. They are light and torqy. people dont think much about the lil 80/85/100 2-strokes but they rip like hell.

im dead even with my cousins cr125 that has an exhaust but thats with blad tires. if i got new ones i could smoke him

Somethings not right with his cr or the rider if you could "smoke" him if you got new tires. Is your engine stock?

i beat rm80s all the time and is even with yz125s

all i gots is a k&n filter. i spin in 1 st and 2nd and a little 3rd and i mean we are dead even. if i got tires i figure i would pull on him from the start and that would be that

i've smoked a kx80 or maybe it was a kx100 he isnt sure on wat it is but i blow him away every race

I drag raced a kx 80. I had just arrived at our local riding area and I saw a small dirt bike out on the drag strip outrunning 4 400ex's. I mean when they took off, the kx would just leave them. I had already beaten those 400's on a previous trip so I knew I might have a chance. I went out there to see what I could do against him. We raced about 4 times. I beat him every time, but it was close. We were practically side by side from take off all the way down the strip, but I would pull past him by half a bike length towards the end everytime.
I don't think the kx was stock.

and takiniteasy if you spin through 2nd gear and you still beat the 125, try racing someone that knows how to ride a bike.

yeah yur prolly right he isnt a very good driver. but im still with him either way.

Theres no way an almost stock 400 should be beating a cr125 when you have bald tires. I raced my 426ex against my friends crf250r. He beat me, but it doesnt help that I have 18's and low gearing for the motocross track. I still think he would beat me even if I had bigger tires and and a sprocket change. Either the guy you race against is horribl, or you are bs'n us.

haha nah dude im dead serious. i mean i can shift pretty damn quick but yeah when we both grip and are WOT we both neither gain nor slip back any further. i bought the 4 wheeler used from this guy who didnt know much about it who had it from someone else. maybe they did somethin to it. it might have a cam cause theres a loud ticking noise. but i dunno.
